Module 6: Leadership Professional Development & Module 7: Art and Science of Communication

Leadership Professional Development

As a nurse leader, you are intentional in cultivating your professional development, leading by example, and creating a positive and empowering culture that supports nursing excellence. In addition to your ongoing development, a vital obligation as a nurse leader is the development of future leaders. This module encompasses both areas of professional growth – yours and the staff you serve.

Art and Science of Communication

Communication is the glue that keeps the organization together and moving toward the desired goal. Nurse leaders need to be skilled at communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.  This module will highlight core tenets for communicating in direct, transparent, and authentic ways and also explore the impact effective communication has on patient outcomes.
